Frequently Asked Questions

What primary services do you offer?

Teletherapy, I am excited about providing teletherapy to clients who value the convenience and comfort of attending therapy from the safety of their space. I use EMDR and have researched ways to incorporate media, narrative, art, and interactive therapy. There is a lot of flexibility without losing the quality of care, which is most important.

What do you specialize in?

Trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and navigating life challenges.

What modalities do you use?

The mental health field is continually evolving, and our modalities become increasingly nuanced as science produces new approaches and techniques. As a clinician, I apply evidence-based practices through a trauma-informed lens. I find the following modalities most helpful in my practice: Existential, Somatic, Internal Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Emotional Processing. To ensure I provide the best care possible, I engage in ongoing training and consultation to stay current with societal issues and effective treatment strategies. Staying humble and open to learning allows me to approach each client with an open mind.

What is therapy like?

Therapy is a safe space to process complex topics and emotions without judgment.
Sometimes, the process will be structured with homework, or it may be more psychodynamic to analyze subconscious processes. I primarily work with women or anyone on the feminine spectrum. Progress is measured using scaling and session check-ins to ensure we are still on track with the treatment goals and desires of the client. My clinical goal is to make sure I’m a good fit for the client and that the process facilitates change.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, unless someone poses a harm to themselves or others and/or gives consent to share confidential information, or subpoena from a court
